Taking steps to move to Newfoundland

I got the offer of a full time one year term job in St. John's to start mid August. The great thing is that with this contract I can get my moving expenses paid for. This will make planning a road trip across Eastern Canada a lot easier.
Cassandra and I have both been in a hurry up and wait mode trying to figure out how to get ready while still needing to use a lot of our stuff. We have mostly been cleaning and organizing piles of stuff to take. I have started organizing most forms for transferring auto insurance and provincial health insurance as well as finding possible family doctors to switch to in St. John's. Auto insurance in St. John's is private so I'm going to need to learn how to shop around to find the best rate. I still feel like there is so much to do. Looking back on previous experience I don't think this feeling will go away till September possibly October.

In other news I have been accepted to the Bachelor of Technology program in St. John's. I'll be taking the courses sparsely over the next couple years. I plan to take my English requirement first and then around two courses per sememster after that through distance ed and evening classes. I got a travel mug and coffee after being accepted. A nice welcoming gift.

I'm feeling positive and am looking forward to the future. I think I'll try to enjoy the present while I'm here though.
